Project SAGE has played an integral part in our Health Curriculum at Housatonic Valley Regional High School. Our high school requires all 10th, 11th and 12th grade students to take Health Education, with different curricula in each. Project SAGE has contributed to all grades with guest speaker presentations on a variety of topics. Tenth grade students receive information about “Online Safety” and “What is Consent”. Our 11th grade students receive information on Sexual Harassment (so important today) and “Dating and Domestic Violence”. Our seniors get a presentation on “Gender Studies” as does our faculty. I am so grateful to the staff for their expertise in all of these areas. With this valuable information our students will be able to negotiate this complex world of ours with integrity and compassion. And if their rights or those of another are violated they know how and where to get help.
