You Never Know What Someone Is Carrying
Sometimes, all it takes is one experience to change the way we see the people around us.
For Luke Twing, that experience came when someone close to him needed support during a difficult time. It opened his eyes to something many of us forget in the busyness of everyday life: we never truly know what another person may be carrying.
"It made me realize you don't know the battles people are going through," Luke shared. "We can be quick to judge, but we don't always see what someone else is facing."
That perspective is what inspired Luke to organize the Industry Softball fundraiser in support of Project SAGE. While the event is raising much-needed funds, Luke hopes it does something just as important—encourage people to lead with compassion, check in on one another, and remember that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.
One thought from our conversation stayed with us:
"People can be made to feel like they're not worth anything. No one should have to experience that."
It's a simple statement, but a powerful reminder. Sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is listen without judgment, offer support, or remind someone they don't have to face life's hardest moments alone.
We're deeply grateful to Luke, the Industry Softball Team, and everyone who has embraced this fundraiser with such generosity and heart. Their kindness is helping strengthen our community, raise awareness, and remind others that support often begins with one person who simply decides to care.
