Carrie Stetson Memorial Walk

About this event:
We are going to meet at the little red barn brewers (please carpool or park in other available lots as to not congest the lrb parking lot) and walk along the railway side of main street down to r and b to raise awareness for domestic violence and honor the beautiful Carrie Stetson! please wear purple and bring signs and banners. let's make this a magical day! at the end of our walk there will be a photo booth and a balloon arch for pictures! there will be live music, food trucks, vendor/information tables, face painting and temporary tattoos! help us bring our community even more with this wonderful day

Sharon Arts and Crafts Fair
Each summer, Sharon Parks and Recreation sponsors an arts and crafts fair held on the first Saturday in August. The show is a 'juried' show for exhibitors, assuring that all of the vendors are exhibiting original works. This event is a Sharon tradition, having first been held in 1958, and has run each year since! It is held on our historic town green and is a free community event. The show runs from 10 am to 5 pm.

Digital Safety for Youth Part 2
Digital Safety for Youth: What Parents Should Be Talking About
Stranger danger is nothing new – but online gaming and social media have brought strangers into the home in the guise of peers and friends. With platforms changing constantly and new apps appearing every day, how can adults keep their kids safe from online exploitation? This interactive, 60-minute workshop designed for parents and caregivers of teens and tweens provides a foundation for talking with youth about online safety, including online stranger danger, cyberbullying, artificial intelligence, and more. This will be a safe space for adult participants to practice having the often-uncomfortable conversations that can make all the difference in the life of a child who has been targeted for exploitation.
